What is your day job:

HR Business Partner at Radisson Hotel Group Americas

How did you start working in HR:

Began as a Program Consultant in placing interns with internship opportunities at various companies. Sort of like a staffing agency for internships!

What advice would give to someone pursing a career in HR:

There is no place to start that is the wrong place. HR has so many areas to specialize within, or to generalize within. Learn everything you can, and take every opportunity to help yourself gain knowledge and expertise so you know where you'd ultimately like to end up. Volunteering for any resource groups or committees your company offers is a great way to get in front of a lot of people at once and kickstart your ability to have a platform.

What is your favorite thing about LASHRM:

Access to other HR professionals in the same city/state for networking and resource groups. Also, the great monthly meeting content!

Passion outside of work:

Wine :) Also boating, research, making pasta and trying new recipes.

Where was your first job:

Pizza Hut.
