What is your day job:

Chief H.E.R.O. Officer - Citizens State Bank

How did you start working in HR:

16 years ago I joined a bank new to La Crosse area, and was overseeing the Operations, IT and HR of the company. As we grew, I moved strictly into HR and have not looked back!

What advice would give to someone pursing a career in HR:

Practice your listening skills now as they become VERY important in an HR role.

What is your favorite thing about LASHRM:

Networking and meeting other HR professionals.

What are your passions outside of work:

Volunteering and giving back to the community. Camping and reading a good book.

What is your favorite quote:

Use adversity as an opportunity. Life is not so much what you accomplish, as is what you overcome.
