Meet Our Speaker:

Majel Hein, a financial counselor since 2013, is currently the Director of Financial Education for the Marine Credit Union Foundation where she designed and now manages their Finding HOME program. In 2016, Majel was awarded the National Foundation of Credit Counseling Counselor of the Year award. Since then, she has also been a recipient of the Governor’s Financial Literacy Legacy Award and named one of 7 Rivers Alliances Rising Stars Under 40 in 2021. She is a certified credit union financial counselor, financial education instructor, and rural development direct- loan packager with more completed certifications in credit, HUD housing counseling, financial education, student loans, and a pending certificate in financial therapy. In addition, Hein sits on several board and committees locally and state-wide. She graduated from Western Technical College with a finance degree and holds a certificate of Non-Profit Leadership from Viterbo University. Hein has helped countless individuals and families find their path to financial stability.
