CERTIFICATION TESTING WINDOWS
SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams are offered during two windows each year. Applications must be received by the standard deadline for each window. Exam application deadlines close at 11:59 PM, ET.
First Test Window: May 1 - July 15, 2025
- Applications Accepted Starting: January 3, 2025
- Standard Deadline: May 16, 2025
Second Test Window: December 1 - February 15, 2026
- Applications Accepted Starting: June 4, 2025
- Standard Deadline: December 17, 2025

RECertification
What is required for recertification?
To maintain your SHRM Certification, you need to earn 60 Professional Development Credits within your three-year recertification cycle, or you can retake the certification exam within the last year of your recertification cycle.
