Membership Committee
LASHRM is looking for volunteers for our BRAND NEW Membership Committee. This Committee meets quarterly and focuses on Local and Dual SHRM membership growth and retention through various recruitment tactics, as well as planning the annual Membership Drive.

Programming Committee
The Programming Committee is made up of local area HR professionals who meet once a quarter to discuss current trends and ideas for future LASHRM monthly speaking engagements.
Responsibilities of the Program Committee include: Assist in inviting the main speakers/presenters for talks, workshops, and/or panel discussions.

Emerging HR Professionals Committee
Emerging HR Professionals Committee volunteers meet bimonthly, with additional meetings as needed when finalizing event details. The committee is dedicated to supporting and empowering the next generation of HR professionals, from high school and college students to those newly entering the field. We meet bimonthly, with additional meetings scheduled as we finalize event details. Volunteers work together to coordinate and plan events, projects, and initiatives that engage and support emerging HR professionals at all stages.
In addition, the committee is responsible for reviewing scholarship applications and selecting finalists for the LASHRM Scholarship. Past initiatives have included networking events with HR professionals, resume reviews, career readiness prep, and more. Our goal is to provide valuable opportunities and resources for both students and early-career HR professionals to thrive in the field, including connecting them with LASHRM and National SHRM.
